The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics

The Olympics will always have a unique spiritual undertone. They remind us that no matter where we come from or what language we speak that underneath it all we are equally human. For a couple of weeks we get to see just how connected our world really is. We get to see touching stories about athletes who have spent their whole lives training for a moment to make their country, their family and their friends proud. Most athletes will walk from the summer games without a medal, but they will leave forever changed and so will we, the viewers.

What have some of your favorite Olympic moments been so far?

Definitely that one from the swimming relay! I've never enjoyed an aquatic event like that, but, you are right, there is a spiritual undertone to it all. I love it!

So far I've enjoyed watching the USA vs. China match-ups in basketball and gymnastics. I also really got into handball, beach volleyball, water polo and indoor volleyball and tennis. I hope Serena Williams gets a gold metal.

Other cool stories have been India winning their first individual gold metal, Ronda Rousey winning the bronze in judo and the USA womens softball team dominating.
