The Obama/Huckabee Ticket

The Iowa Caucuses got me thinking...

What if Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee joined forces and ran together?

They seem like a good match, both claim that they would make it their goal to unite our country with bipartisan efforts. But what could be more bipartisan than this?

People like Obama; he represents change in so many ways. And Huckabee stands firm on his Christian beliefs, plus he's Chuck Norris approved. Does it get any better than that?

I've been following the debates and trying to figure out who would be best for this country and so far this idea sounds pretty good.

And if they're successful in their term(s) that would set Huckabee up for a nice run as president to finish up the work.

Neither one of them is perfect, and of course there are issues that I disagree with them on. But you can only pray, be informed and hope for the best. The rest is in God's hands.

So what are your thoughts on the 2008 presidential candidates??? Do you think this could ever happen?

Honestly, I just tired of seeing "white men" in presidential leadership. In a diverse society as ours its ridiculous that we have never had anyone but white men as presidents. However, I do understand we are in a racialized society (filled with unjust systems)- let's make the change!!! I'm "GO OBAMA!"

I support candidates based on what policies I believe that they would implement and push for.

Obama has several things about him that are a deal-breaker for me:

1) His pro-abortion views are not just a little bit out of step with my faith; they're absolutely radical. He has even argued in favor of infanticide!

2) He would have us overspending even worse that we already are.

3) His lack of experience as an executive really hurts, too.

4) I also simply do not think that he's very bright. He thought that a tornado in Kansas had killed over 10,000 people (it actually killed 13). That's over 3 times as many people as died on 9/11 and twice as many as have died fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. That really tells me that he is just terrible with numbers, which is a very important matter when you are the President of the United States of America.

I wanted Huckabee to be the President really bad and I'm continuing to do what I can to get McCain to put him on the ticket. He has a very long list of accomplishments from his hard work, wise decisions, and non-partisan pragmatism, when he was Governor of Arkansas.

The last thing that I will ever do is to vote for someone solely because of the color of their skin.
