Two Eggs in a Skillet

How cool would it be to be in a rock band with your husband? I mean, isn't that every girl's dream to find a nice hot guy who loves Jesus and knows how to nail a guitar solo? Well, maybe not every girl, but it's still a pretty sweet dream.

I was watching this Christian music video show and they interviewed John and Korey Cooper of the rock band Skillet. They make music together, tour across the country and are proud parents. The couple talked about the mountains and valleys of married life in a way that seemed seasoned by wisdom and experience. They looked like a great match and I couldn't help but smile and take a moment to marvel at God's creation of marriage.

Skillet's new album Comatose is some of the best music I've heard from the Christian music scene so be sure to check out their website and myspace page to listen to their awesome song "Rebirthing".

And lastly, here's this interesting picture that I found of them on the web:

(I guess funky hairstyles and reflector pants does a marriage good)

Scriptures on marriage:

God said, "It's not good for the Man to be alone; I'll make him a helper, a companion."

God put the Man into a deep sleep. As he slept he removed one of his ribs and replaced it with flesh. God then used the rib that he had taken from the Man to make Woman and presented her to the Man. The Man said, "Finally! Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh! Name her Woman for she was made from Man."

Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife. They become one flesh. The two of them, the Man and his Wife, were naked, but they felt no shame.

:)-- Great post! Love the pic comment!
God's marriage design is in the likeness of the trinity--God, husband, and wife== and glorifies God because of that. That's one of the reasons satan attacks marriage so much. If there are those who are reading this and are having a difficult marriage or feel their's is not glorifying God for some reason though you are trying and want it to, take heart in the fact that God will reward you (in the here and now as well as in eternity) as you live for Him in the marriage regardless of whether your mate responds positively or not to acts/gifts/words of love. Turn on some Skillet :) and then check out "Love and Respect" by Dr. Eggrich's and eharmony.com for online marriage support. :) God is faithful!

"Love and Respect" sounds like an amazing book!!! I read an excerpt one day at the bookstore and I'm going to have to buy it when I can.
