The Good-o-Meter

If there is any beauty in this world, it comes from God.

James 1:17 says...

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights."
(NIV)

"Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light."
(The Message)

"Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens."
(NLT)

Hey that's a good video. Too bad the Church makes me feel like I have to do good things in order to be "godly" or accepted by God. I like the idea of grace, but why is it that the moment two Christians have an argument they stop talking to each other and are never seen together again (a couple of my friends are doing this now).

I know I'm not good enough so I know grace is the only way, but I feel like I get this conflicting message with what the Bible says and what REALITY dictates.

You're not the only one. I get what you're saying.

A picture of the gospel. I love it! When I step onto the 'good-o-meter' - I don't even register! Amen? LOL. Thank God for grace.

I love that verse in James. It's profound. It tells us that the Devil is not responsible for anything that is good. The good in our lives is ALL a result from God and his lovingkindness.
