The Pussycat Preacher
Heather Veitch of JC's Girls just posted a trailer on her MySpace page for an upcoming documentary on her called Pussycat Preacher. It's more proof that big things are happening in Vegas. Even CNN, MSNBC and Fox News are taking notice.

This is interesting. It's nice to know what you can do with Jesus in your life.
Your blog has quite the interesting spin to it. Another thing I did not know at all. Well done.
A lot of the time people get caught up in perceptions, and what they think "godly" looks like. They forget all about the fact that Jesus hung out with prostitutes, criminals, etc. They also selectively forget that they were not always perfect!
I'm glad I stopped by, you have a very interesting blog!
Blessings!
One of my goals with my blog is to spotlight stories like this. It's one of my little efforts "to be the change you I want to see in the world" as Ghandi said.
Regina, you're so right. Some people want to lump ALL Christians together as these right-wing conversatives who don't give a crap about society and who rather stay inside their cookie-cutter subculture cucumb. And that's not true. People like Heather are out there making a difference.
I wish Christians would stop being timid when it comes to standing up for injustices and instead be emboldened by the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was one our country's (and the world's) best examples of what it means to live and die for Christ. He took a stand for people, he went to jail for his cause and he was unshamed about his faith in the Lord.
I see a similar fire in the ministries that are reaching out to those in the sex industry.
And Jose, I have plenty more interesting things to talk about. Stay tuned!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
Using sex to sell Jesus - let's try honoring REAL women of God who actually are doing the Lord's work without exposing their flesh and looking like porn stars? Shelley Lubben, Julie, Susan Stafford, Dawn - they are all worthy children of God. Heather started out in sincereity but took a wrong turn somewhere - how can ANY pastor approve of this?
Anonymous, what it all comes down to is NOT whether a pastor approves of them but more importantly what Jesus thinks of their ministries. They're reaching out to people who need God's love. And that's a good thing.
Great blog! We met Heather at the Nashville Film Festival back in April as she was there for the Southern premiere of the documentary film about her and her ministry. We also got some video of her answering questions afterwards:

God is doing some awesome things through these ministries that reach out to those hurting in the adult entertainment industry.
